Herb Tincture

Herbs can be a gentle, natural approach to wellness. But how can a person use? This article explains the different ways in which herbs are prepared and used.

TEA: 1 c. Tea. the plant is used for 1 cup of water. Used internally or externally. Infusion: (For the leaves of herbs or flowers). Water heated to boiling, remove from heat, and pour it over the lawn. Set until cool enough to drink. The infusion of cold water: The grass is covered with cold water and soak overnight. Slightly heated before use. Decoction: (For the roots of grass, bark or seeds). The water is heated to boiling, add the herbs, boil for 3 minutes-1 hour (over cooked, most will be), or until half the liquid has evaporated. Removed from heat and let cool until enough SET to drink.

MEDICINAL TEA: ½ oz herb used per cup of water. Take 3 times a day.

VINEGAR: Herbs and placed in a covered jar of cider vinegar apple. Shaken once a day for three weeks. Herbs used liquid removed and saved. Vinegars are stronger than tea. 1 tbsp. taken daily or as necessary. Used internally or externally.

Extract or tincture: similar to vinegar, if not the alcohol liquor (vodka, wine, etc.) is used instead of vinegar. 1 tbsp. taken once or twice daily.

Compress or PROMOTION: A compress is a cloth soaked in hot tea or extract, and applied externally. When the fabric is cools, the cooling zone of cold water and apply cold compresses.

Poultices: A poultice is to simply take a tea plant used and apply directly on skin. Re-apply when it dries.

Gypsum: Herbs wet, wrapped in a clean cloth and applied abroad.

Ointment: An extract herbal tea or vinegar mixed with an ointment and applied externally.

OIL: The herbs are placed in a jar covered with olive oil and placed in a warm place for 2-3 weeks. The oils are for external use only, and should never be taken internally.

BATHROOM: medicinal tea added to bath water (something that can be absorbed through the skin).

SYRUP: herbs boiled in water (½ ounce per cup of water) for ½ -1 hour, is cooled, the same amount honey and cold.

WARNING: A person can be allergic to almost anything, so it is generally recommended to start with a small dose and see the reactions. Prolonged use or excessive plant increases the risk of being dangerous to your health. What works for one person may not help and may be harmful to another person. Never give herbs to children and the doctor if your child first learn and some of its security.
