What are the four groups of organic compounds found in living things? In terms of subatomic particles, to explain how they are alike and how they are different. What is the element containing everything that makes them so complex and able to be so high? Explain why.
Proteins, nucleic acids, lipids and carbohydrates. All contain carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. The first two also contain nitrogen, but the last two were not. Nucleic acids also contain phosphorus. The carbon atom is likely to be complex and large, this is due to the strong CC bond strength.
