Blue Angels Collection

Formed in 1946, the Blue Angels U.S. Navy (USN) are first officially sanctioned the world's military air show team. The group performs over 70 performances in 34 locations United States each year, which still employ many of these same practices and techniques in their aerial displays in 1946. Their first performance was in 1956 in Toronto, Canada. During the four days in Paris Air Show 1965 Blue Angels were the only team to receive a standing ovation. Since its inception, more than 427 million flying viewers around the world. The team has worked so far eight aircraft, including F/A-18 Hornet in progress.

Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat (1946)
From the F4F Wildcat, the Hellcat was one of the two main combatants USN company in the second half of the Second World War. It was the most successful game in history ship, the 5163 destruction of aircraft in service in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, and an additional $ 52 with the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm during World War II. Grumman Bearcat F8F-1 (1946 to 1949)

Grumman F9F-2 Panther (1949 – 1954)
The Pantera was the fighter jet USN The most widely used Korean War. It flew 78,000 sorties and was responsible for killing the first Marine air in the conflict. It was the first jet Flight of the Blue Angels.

Grumman F9F-8 Cougar (1954 to 1957)
The puma is a carrier-based combat in the Panther. It replaced the right wing of the panther with a more modern swept wing.

F11F Grumman Tiger-1 (1957 – 1969)
The Tiger is a fighter based telecommunications car, famous for its use as a demonstration flight. His career as a bout lasted only four years, but the Blue Angels flew for nearly ten years. Squadron was the first supersonic jet.

McDonnell F-4J Phantom II (1969 to 1974)
The Phantom II is a tandem seat, supersonic, long-term, all-time fighter-bombers. Superiority fighter was then air and a main workhorse fighter-bomber For the U.S. Air Force (USAF), Navy and Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was the only plan ahead for both the blue and the USAF Thunderbirds.

In December 1974, the team dropped to subsonic Skyhawk cheaper. He was the main bomber of the Navy in the light the early years of the Vietnam War. The Skyhawk has also promoted the buddy system "concept of air refueling itself, allowing other aircraft fuel the same type without a dedicated truck.

McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet (1986 – present)
The Blue Angels have been using the Hornet, as they have completed their 40 years and gave the elegant November 8, 1986. The power and aerodynamics of the Hornet enable them to carry out a low angle tail sitting "maneuver, and fly a loop with landing gear for training, or what has been duplicated by the Thunderbirds.
