my skin is all irritated because of this stuff i put on my face, what is causing it? (details)
i’ve been using a mattefying gel (to control oily skin on my face), and now my skin feels raw and it burns most of the time.
WTF is going on?
does anyone else have this problem?
i’m really positive it’s my mattefying gel, because i usually use it on my eyelids and i feel the most raw skin and pain there, and it just burns more to put a moisturizer on it. 
the ingredients are: water, magnesium aluminum silicate, propylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, allantoin, methylparaben, propylparaben, ethylparaben, isobutylparaben, fragrance. (may contain) titanium dioxide (Ci77891), iron oxides (Ci 77489, Ci 77491, Ci 77499).
i’m allergic to lactose (milk, cheese, etc), aluminum chlorohydrate (antiperspirant), sulfa (sulfites, sulfates, etc), nickel, and i think i’m allergic to silicone.
could one of those be in my mattefying gel??
The
popylparaben is the problem I think. It is found in many shampoos and my late husband mother is allergic to anything in it. The paraben in many items is wax silicone based I am fairly sure. Might want to check with a doctor first. Also there are some things that are not listed some times because it has minute amounts and that maybe the case. Take care. I had a problem with a product that supposedlwasws to clear up black heads and clean pores but it just made my face really dry and red and gave me a few whiteheads/pimples. spentnt a fair amount on it and did not want to stop using it but I figured my skin would better off without the redness, I started using Noxzema cold creme like my mom use to use and it helps.
