The holidays are often the time people think of decorating their homes, classrooms, offices, and businesses with Christmas lights. However, Christmas lights can be used throughout the year for pretty much every occasion.
Use the seasons of the year to use different colors of lights in the classroom. White mini lights are ideal any time of the year and can be used alone or in conjunction with other colors to create a specific theme. Orange and yellow mini lights or C7 light sets are ideal for creating a fall theme in the classroom. If your classroom has the space, create a scarecrow and hay bale theme in one corner. Red or pink Christmas lights are ideal for decorating a classroom in the month of February. The lights make everything festive and lay the foundation for a sparkling and fun Valentine’s Day party. Deck the classroom in green and white mini lights for the month of March. St. Patrick’s day is celebrated during the month of March and many people are yearning for spring by then, so why not bring the color of spring into the classroom? Light will bring them back to life and help them to focus on the lesson at hand.
